about me,

I’m Jacob. I've been a photographer for a total of ten years (2024), starting at the age of fourteen, shooting film, developing, and printing my own images in my high school darkroom. Two years later, at sixteen, I started a professional photography studio in my parents' basement, specializing in fashion and portraiture photography. At 17, I expanded my skill set at Syracuse, New York’s esteemed Revette Studio and began working professionally as an architectural and commercial photographer. I also spent time working on two film production sets with American High, Syracuse’s first major film production studio. At 19, I was studying journalism and found myself burnt out. This resulted in me taking a four-year hiatus with the Air Force. In those four years, I visited 17 countries on 6 continents, all while rediscovering my passion for film photography and growing my passion for filmmaking. In 2023, I left the Air Force and my career in aviation. I co-founded Jacob & Chloe Studio, a wedding photography and videography company that I co-own with my life partner. Then in 2024, I reintroduced the company I once started at the age of 16, focusing on fashion, portraiture, commercial, and travel photography, combining all the skills I learned in the decade since I first picked up a camera.
